Fancy Knitting Stitch: Mock Cable Stitch
Fancy Knitting Stitch: Mock Cable Stitch.
Giving the cable texture to your knits without using a stitch holder: what kind of sorcery is this? It’s the Mock Cable Stitch! 😅
Surprisingly, for this stitch you will only need to know the very knitting basics: knit and purl stitches. That’s it, this is a beginner stitch! It is very easy and intuitive that once you get the hang of it you will never forget it. Also, the best part about it is that you won’t need any stitch holder or additional cable needle. No twisting is involved. Can it get any better than this?
To knit the swatch you see in the picture we chose our Woolpaca yarn (50% Baby Alpaca + 50% Wool – incredibly soft and delicate!) in Cyclamin. We used our 4 mm / US 6 Beechwood Knitting Needles.
