Fancy Knitting Stitch: Bamboo Stitch

This is a fun variation of the classic rib stitch: the Bamboo Stitch 🎋 it is perfect for cuffs, bottom edges and collars on sweaters, or even to be worked as it is.

Needless to say how easy this stitch is to make!

The Bamboo Stitch is an easy knitting stitch that even confident beginner knitters can try. This knitting stitch is similar to a ribbing stitch and it creates a vertical design that reminds of bamboo canes with their typical horizontal stripes. This stitch is great to use on sweater collars and cuffs.

The swatch you see in the picture has been made using size 4 mm / US 6 Beechwood Knitting Needles (you can choose the right needle size adjusting to your yarn and tension) and BettaKnit’s Re-Cashmere, a soft yarn that is composed of 95% recycled cashmere and 5% virgin wool and obtained through an extremely advanced process that gives new life to old cashmere fibers. How cool is it? Not to mention, good for our planet! 🌎
