Crochet Lace Stitch Pattern: Lace V-Stitch Tutorial
So fun to make and easy to memorize, as well as super elegant! The Lace V-Stitch will become one of your all-time favourite lace stitches.
Lace crochet stitch + Mohair = 💖
For the swatch you see in the picture above, we used:
- 5 mm / US H6 Beechwood Crochet Hook
- Bettaknit’s Petit Mohair (70% Kid Mohair – 30% Silk, aka Kiss Me Mohair‘s little brother, which we talked about here) in two plies, in the shades Peony and Grapefruit

How to crochet the Lace V-Stitch
Chain a multiple of 6 + 7 stitches.
Round 1:
-
Ch. 3 (they replace the 1st dc.), skip 6 ch. from the hook, *in the following ch.: work 2 dc., 2 ch., 2 dc., skip 5 ch.*.
Repeat from * to * until you have 4 ch. left, then work in the following ch.: 2 dc., 2 ch., 2 dc., skip 2 ch., 1 dc. in the last ch.
Round 2:

Ch. 1 (it doesn’t replace the 1st sc.), 1 sc. in the same st. below, 3 ch., 1 dc. in the following 2-ch. arch, 3 ch., skip 1 dc., *1 sc. in the following dc., 3 ch., 1 dc. in the following 2-ch. arch, 3 ch., skip 1 dc.*.
Repeat from * to * until the end of the round, end with: skip 1 dc., 1 dc. in the 3rd ch. at the beginning of the previous round.
Round 3:
-
Ch. 1 (it doesn’t replace the 1st sc.), 1 sc. in the same st. below, 3 ch., 1 dc. in the following 2-ch. arch, 3 ch., skip 1 dc., *1 sc. in the following dc., 3 ch., 1 dc. in the following 2-ch. arch, 3 ch., skip 1 dc.*.
Repeat from * to * until the end of the round, end with: skip 1 dc., 1 dc. in the 3rd ch. at the beginning of the previous round.
Round 4:
Repeat from Round 2.
